Concrete & Heavy Debris across the Coastal Bend
Concrete, brick, and dirt don't behave like a load of household junk or demolition framing — they're dense, and a container fills up on weight long before it ever looks full. A driveway tear-out or a foundation removal can max out a standard-size box while it's still visibly half-empty, so these loads get their own container sizing built around tonnage rather than cubic yards.
We haul this kind of debris off driveways, patios, foundations, and slabs all over the Corpus Christi area, from new-construction sites in the Southside and Airline Rd growth corridor to older poured driveways closer to the city center. If it's clean concrete, brick, asphalt, or dirt without trash mixed in, this is the right container for the job.

Suitability
Is concrete & heavy debris the right call?
The fastest way to get this right is to check the load against both lists before you book.
Good fits for this container
- Driveway, patio, or sidewalk replacement
- Foundation or slab removal
- Pool deck or retaining wall demolition
- Clean loads of dirt, gravel, or excavation spoil from a Southside or Airline Rd corridor build site
Send these somewhere else
- Mixed demolition loads with a lot of wood, drywall, or roofing material — see demolition debris removal
- General household junk or furniture — see junk removal or residential dumpster rental
- Sites where the container can't sit on firm, accessible ground — heavy loaded containers need stable footing
Sizing
Which container for concrete & heavy debris?
Every size below runs on this service. Match the material to the weight allowance and the volume takes care of itself.
- 10-yard-dumpster — The standard size for a single driveway, small patio, or sidewalk tear-out — fills on weight long before it fills on volume
- 15-yard-dumpster — Fits a larger driveway or a small foundation or slab job without pushing weight limits too far
- 20-yard-dumpster — Used for bigger concrete jobs or when dirt and concrete are coming out together
| Size | Dimensions | Capacity | Weight included | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 Yard Dumpster | about 14 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 3.5 ft high | about 50-70 kitchen-size trash bags | 1-2 tons | Small home projects, roofing debris, concrete and dirt. |
| 15 Yard Dumpster | about 16 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 4.5 ft high | about 80-100 kitchen-size trash bags | 2-3 tons | Garage cleanouts, flooring removal and yard waste. |
| 20 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 4.5 ft high | about 110-130 kitchen-size trash bags | 3-4 tons | Medium renovations, roofing jobs and large cleanouts. |
| 30 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 6 ft high | about 170-190 kitchen-size trash bags | 4-5 tons | Multi-room remodels and estate cleanouts. |

Concrete & Heavy Debris — the Corpus Christi-area specifics
A lot of the concrete debris we haul out of the Corpus Christi area comes from new driveways and patios going in along the Southside and Airline Rd growth corridor, plus foundation and slab work on older homes closer to the city center. Because concrete is dense, these containers run smaller than you'd expect for the same job in wood or drywall debris — a 10-yard box loaded with broken driveway concrete can hit its weight limit well before it looks full, and that's normal, not a mistake in sizing.
Corpus Christi's caliche subsoil means a fair amount of excavation dirt and base material comes out of foundation and drainage work too; that can go in the same heavy-debris container as broken concrete as long as it's a clean load without trash mixed in. Let dispatch know if a job site sits off a gravel or caliche access road — those roads can soften up after Gulf Coast rain, and placement needs to account for that so a loaded container doesn't sink or rut the drive.

Concrete & Heavy Debris — your questions answered
Why is the concrete dumpster smaller than the one I'd rent for a room cleanout?
Weight, not size, is what limits a concrete load. Concrete, brick, and asphalt are dense enough that a 10-yard or 15-yard container reaches its tonnage limit long before it looks full, so we size these containers around weight rather than volume.
Can I mix dirt with the concrete in the same dumpster?
Clean dirt, gravel, and excavation spoil can generally go in with broken concrete, brick, or asphalt as long as it's not mixed with trash, wood, or other demolition debris. If your load is mostly wood and drywall with a little concrete, a standard demolition container is the better fit.
How much concrete can one dumpster hold?
It depends on the size, but a 10-yard container generally holds about 1 to 2 tons before reaching its limit, and a 15-yard holds roughly 2 to 3 tons. Tell us the approximate square footage and thickness of what's being torn out and we can help you land on the right size.
Will a loaded concrete dumpster damage my driveway?
A fully loaded concrete container is heavy. If you want it staged on your own driveway rather than the street, ask about protective boards under the container, especially on older poured driveways or caliche and gravel surfaces common on Southside and Robstown-area properties.
Does this container work for a pool deck or retaining wall demolition?
Yes, pool decks, retaining walls, and other concrete or masonry structures are typical loads for this container. If the job includes rebar or other embedded metal, let us know — it's fine to include, but it helps the driver to know what's coming.
